2.1 Compliance Framework

This policy complies with Law 151/2020 (Personal Data Protection Law) and the 2025/2026 Executive Regulations. Tech Expo acts as the Data Controller.

2.2 Data Collection & Legal Basis

We collect data necessary to fulfill our contract and enhance our systems:

• Identity Data: Name, Birthdate, Profile Picture.
• Contact Data: Email, Phone Number, City.
• Behavioral Data: Total hours enjoyed, joined courses, and event interaction logs.
• Purpose: To issue certificates, train internal recommendation algorithms, and optimize our IT solutions.

2.3 Communication & Direct Marketing

• Service Messages: Session links, certificates, and security alerts are sent automatically as they are essential for service fulfillment. No prior permission is required for these.
• Newsletters: Optional tech updates are sent only to users who Opt-in.

2.4 Data Retention (The 180-Day Rule)

In compliance with Law 175/2018, Tech Expo retains technical logs (IP addresses and access times) for 180 consecutive days. Even after Soft Deletion, this data is stored in a secure, hidden archive for the legally mandated period before permanent anonymization.

2.5 Data Subject Rights

2.6 Data Breach Notification

As per the 2026 regulations, in the event of a data breach, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Center (PDPC) within 72 hours and affected users within 3 business days.

2.7 Jurisdiction

These policies are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes shall be referred to the Cairo Economic Courts.
