You can update your password at any time from your account settings.
Where to change it
- Open Dashboard → Settings → Security.
- Enter your current password (if you have one), then your new password twice.
- Save. You'll see a success message when it's done.
The same form is also available from the Security section of your profile page.
If you don't have a password yet
Accounts created with Google or GitHub don't start with a password. Your security settings let you create a password so you can also sign in with email — afterwards both methods work.
Password rules
- At least 8 characters.
- Your current password is required when one is set — a wrong current password returns "Current password is incorrect".
What happens after you change it
For your security, other signed-in sessions are ended and old refresh tokens stop working — you'll need to sign in again on your other devices with the new password.
If it isn't working
- Forgot your current password? Use Forgot password on the login page — see Reset your password.
- Signed up with Google or GitHub and don't have a password yet? See How linked sign-in methods work.
Two-factor authentication isn't available yet — we'll announce it here when it ships.
