When a membership ends: grace period, access and what you keep

By TechExpo TeamNovember 4, 20262 min read0 views

The 7-day grace window

When your paid period ends and no renewal is completed, the membership moves to grace for 7 days. During grace you keep full access to everything your plan covers — no course is locked and nothing is deleted. It is the buffer that lets you finish a payment or confirm a renewal without losing your place.

When the grace window closes, the membership becomes expired and membership content is locked again.

What stays with you forever

  • Your certificates and credentials — they stay issued and stay verifiable on their public verification page, whether you are a member or not.
  • Your points, badges, tiers and streak history — they remain on your profile and on the leaderboard.
  • Your course progress and notes — the history of what you completed is not wiped.
  • Your account, profile and privacy settings — unchanged.

What ends is access to content that is included in the membership. Courses you bought individually are not affected by a membership ending.

Paused memberships

A paused membership gives no access at the moment — it is a break you control, and resuming restores access immediately.

How to keep your access

  • Renew during the grace window — a renewal checkout is waiting for you.
  • Or subscribe again to the same plan; a new period starts immediately.
