Excuse requests for a missed session

By TechExpo TeamOctober 7, 20260 views

If you missed a session, you can send your instructor an excuse request explaining the absence.

The 72-hour rule

Excuse requests must be submitted within 72 hours of the missed session. Late submissions may not be accepted — submit as soon as you can.

Fill the form

Open Submit Excuse Request and complete:

  1. Reason for Absence (required) — Illness/Medical, Family Emergency, Transportation Issues, Work Commitment, Weather Conditions, or Other.
  2. Detailed Explanation (required) — at least 20 characters; the form shows a live character counter.
  3. Supporting Documentation (optional) — tick I have documentation and paste a link to it (Google Drive, Dropbox, or any other URL) such as a medical certificate or travel ticket.
  4. Click Submit Excuse Request (or Cancel to go back).

What happens next

You will see a Request Submitted! confirmation: your instructor reviews the request and you are notified of the decision. You can submit another request from the same screen or go back to My Courses.
