Take a course: lessons, progress & completion

By TechExpo TeamOctober 7, 20260 views

Once you are enrolled (see How to enroll in a course), your course opens in the learning player where lessons live.

Start or continue

  • Open the course page and click Start Learning — or Continue Learning (N%) if you already have progress.
  • The player shows the course units and lessons in a sidebar; click any lesson you have access to.
  • Use the Next/Previous controls to move through the course in order, and bookmark or note lessons as you go.

Lesson types you will see

  • Video and article/PDF lessons — watch or read; lessons complete automatically when you finish them (or via the lesson's completion control).
  • Knowledge checks & quizzes — answer the questions and submit to record your result. When a check has a time limit, a countdown is displayed and your attempt is saved if you step away.
  • Preview lessons — open to everyone even before enrolling (they carry a Preview badge on the course page); other lessons unlock after enrollment.

Progress

Every lesson you complete moves the course progress bar — it is visible on the player and the course page as N%. If you enrolled through a cohort with a start date, the course page shows Starts <date> and learning opens then.

Finishing the course

When the last lesson is completed, your enrollment automatically moves to Completed and course completion (including certificate issuance where the course includes one) is triggered. Find the result in Where to find and download your certificates.

If your enrollment lapsed

Courses show a Re-enroll button when a previous enrollment is no longer active (for example after a refund) — see Requesting a refund.
